Steven A. Wagoner is the Founder and Managing Principal of America Investment Management, a private investment and management firm focused on opportunities across Sports & Entertainment and Real Estate. 

In 2010, Mr. Wagoner co-founded Nexus Street, a niche government consulting firm, where he continues to serve as an Executive Board Member. Nexus Street has supported business units with $250M in annual revenue and programs exceeding $2B.

He is also the Founder and CEO of the Major League Development Association (MLDA), a sport management firm that operates minor league men’s and women’s soccer clubs, with franchises in the USL, NPSL, and WPSL. The MLDA also operates pre-professional academies, including an MLS NEXT Academy and USL Academies.

Mr. Wagoner, M.S. in Finance, summa cum laude, from the Raymond A. Mason School of Business at the College of William & Mary (May 2025); B.S. from George Mason University. Mr. Wagoner has completed Executive Education programs in Alternative Investments from Harvard Business School and Corporate Finance from the Raymond A. Mason School of Business.

Other Leadership Experience:
As Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Trade Atlantic, LLC in 2013, Mr. Wagoner led investments in retail development and multi-unit franchise operations in the Washington D.C. Metro, culminating in a successful asset sale in December, 2022.

Mr. Wagoner was the Team Owner of  D.C. United U23 NPSL, a minor league affiliate of Major League Soccer’s D.C. United, during the 2013 and 2014 seasons.
